Auchteralyth Steadings is beautiful, Anne the owner is a lovely woman and very welcoming. We stayed in Glen Prosen... cottage which was absolutely perfect for us and our German shepherd fur baby, everything is of high quality and the cottage itself is stunning, and Anne has thought of everything for your dog even dog shampoo, towels and bowls. The cottage is well equipped and although you having a washing machine in it there is also the laundry room next door which even has a shower for your dog, if required. The scenery surrounding The Steadings is amazing and so relaxing when sitting out in the courtyard. You are only a 10 minute drive from the towns nearby and there are so many lovely walks in and around the area. This place is a home from home in a peaceful tranquil setting and just a perfect escape from busy life.read more

We have just returned from this wonderful place . Our host Anne was fantastic and very helpful . The area is ideal for... walks with the dog and great dog friendly places for hot chocolate and cake . Excellent Luxury accommodation. Very spacious and well equipped. The free range eggs she provided were delicious The... dogs (and us) felt very at home, they were able to wander freely the enclosed grounds with supervision. Anne had provided a drinking bowl, and additional towels for the dogs. We didnt need to use the launderette or drying room, but had the comfort of knowing that these were available if we had chosen a wet week. The local village, Alyth , and surrounding area had to plenty to offer for both us and the dogs.read more

I was intending to write in great detail about our holiday here at Auchteralyth Steadings, However suffice to say i... agree completely with the owners definition of what this place has to offer. No longer do dog owners have to put up with poor quality accommodation just because you have a dog.....or dogs. The location well just visit the site for yourself.read more

A truely wonderful place to stay, we spent our weekend in Glen Doll with our rescue dog Patch, Anne made us feel very... welcome, the views really are spectacular and there are lots of great walks very close by. Will be going back again next year. lauraread more

We had a lovely time relaxing here. Belle enjoyed the space to run around in. The scenery is beautiful. I sat outside... early in the morning watching the sun appear. It was so peaceful. Anne goes out of her way to make you feel at home. There are lots of places in the area to visit and plenty of places where dogs are made welcome. We had lovely food at the Losset Inn and Lands of Loyal Hotel. Hopefully we will be back again. I highly recommend it.read more

We are just back from a few days at Auchteralyth Staedings. We stayed in Glen Doll and it was more than bug enough for... the 2 of us and the 3 dogs. The cottage had everything you would possibly need, including fresh eggs from the hens. The dogs made themselves at home straight away. We will be recommending Glen Doll to our doggy friends.read more

A lovely few days over the new year...a beautiful place offering everything you need for a stress free break, ideal for... our 4 dogs who loved the walks and the freedom, we stayed in Glen Doll which had a private decking area and beautiful views, we worried about the fold down bed and it's comfort but it was so comfortable and we slept so well...one word to sum up our few days PERFECT!! A fantastic place to stay would recommend to anyone but especially to dog owners.Very welcoming of all dogs and Anne... clearly has a love and importantly an understanding of dogs.Our dog Kizzy can be reactive but this was no problem for Anne and Kizzy and the rest of us were able to relax and enjoy this wonderful place.Beautiful scenery,plenty places to visit with good dog walks and more than enough eating places that welcome dogs.When we arrived we were welcomed with fresh eggs from Annes hens and milk was already in the fridge.Quality accomadation that feels like home....superb,cant rate this place highly enough.read more

Way beyond 5 stars. Dorothy won a competition to stay 3nights in this totally fantastic accommodation. We were made... very welcome throughout our stay and to have a completely understanding dog owner made our stay all the more successful. From the outset was a welcome to Dorothy, Kizzy and family. Luxurious accommodation and everything thoughtfully catered for. We loved it so much we are hoping to book out our next stay in October and I hope over some of the festive period. Our stay and Anne's wonderful hospitality deserve far more than a limited 5 Star. Kizzy, Dot and I give top marks. Dot is still enjoying her stay but I gave a wedding to attend tomorrow so needed to drive back to Dundee. Dot will leave her review tomorrow but we were completely blown away. I highly recommend Auchteralyth Steadings to all. So refreshing to have people who truly understand dogs and provide top accommodation and facilities. Xread more

We stayed in the Glen Isla over Easter 2016. No expense spared a beautiful accommodation in beautiful surroundings with... fantastic views. Best of it is our dogs can come to. If you are looking for R and R along with yor dog this is the place to come.Your every need is catered for down to the... fresh eggs from the resident hens.Anne the owner is very helpful providing local information and any other requests you may have.Chilling out or exploring the area alll very relaxing.Our dog Jax is loving his holiday it has been a pleasure watching him explore and looking very happy and natural within the steadings.Hopefully we can come back on a regular basis and if Jax could speak I am sure he would agree.Thank you for a lovely relaxing break Kate Alan and, of course Jax.read more
